The Shih Tzu is classified by the American Kennel Club in the Toy Group. It is one of the elegant dogs from China. The Shih Tzu was a cherished, pampered pet of royal families in China for over a thousand years. As the Shih Tzu developed there evolved several sizes. The question of size has always been a very controversial topic.

Cats are know to give various benefits to their owners but does this also apply to children? Yes it does providing you introduce your child to the right behavior towards pets. Cats can help to increase the wellness of your child. It is no problem to have a child with a cat but you need to make sure your child know the right behavior towards a cat. Your child doesn’t know how to treat a cat, he or she must learn it first.

Dog flu can be a killer. Dogs are not exempt from sickness and viruses. Their lives may also be threatened by contagious sicknesses frequent to their kind. One the most alarming is commonly known to us as dog flu, canine influenza or in medical terms H3N8 influenza virus.

This infectious disease is said to have originated from horses and was passed down recently to dogs. Cool, clean water.
Your dog uses water to maintain its body temperature. On hot days, she can quickly become dehydrated if she doesn’t have plenty of cool, clean water. She should have constant access to at least two water bowls - one inside and one outside.

What is a microchip ID?

A microchip ID is a very, very small chip (about the size of grain of rice). It is encoded with an identification number. This identification number is entered into a data bank – national or local depending on the brand – and lists the pet’s name, owner’s name, address, and phone number. There is no cost to you for the upkeep of your address and phone number if you move or to change the information completely if you give your dog away.

Ringworm is one of the most common diseases in pets, especially dogs. Unlike its name, Ringworm is not a worm but fungi called Dermatophytes that thrives on dead tissues present on skin surface and follows circular path to spread infection.

Ringworm is an infectious skin disease and your pet usually picks it up from his surroundings like kennels, rodent burrows or from other animals who are already infected. There are about 35 species of ringworm that can affect dogs. The most common is ‘Mircosporum Canis’, which accounts for majority of ringworm cases
